চেয়ারম্যান:
Q1. Why are you appearing in the BCS again when you have already been recommended for Customs?
Answer: Sir, I am grateful for being recommended for Customs. However, Foreign Affairs is my first choice because I believe my skills and interests are better aligned with diplomacy, international relations and representing Bangladesh abroad. So, I am appearing again to pursue my preferred career path.
Q2. What is the most important geopolitical issue in the present world?
Answer: Sir, I would consider the great-power rivalry and the resulting geopolitical fragmentation as one of the most important issues in the present world. The competition among major powers is affecting global security, trade, technology, energy and international institutions. For Bangladesh, maintaining strategic balance while protecting national interests is particularly important.
Q3. How will you solve the Rohingya crisis?
Answer: Sir, the Rohingya crisis cannot be solved by Bangladesh alone. It requires a coordinated diplomatic effort involving Myanmar, regional powers, the UN and major international stakeholders. I would focus on creating sustained international pressure on Myanmar for safe, voluntary, dignified and sustainable repatriation, while simultaneously increasing international humanitarian support for Bangladesh.
Q4. If you are sent to the UN to represent Bangladesh, what will you recommend to solve the Rohingya crisis?
Answer: Excellencies, Bangladesh has always believed in humanitarian values and international cooperation. Despite being a densely populated developing country, Bangladesh has provided shelter and humanitarian assistance to more than one million Rohingya refugees who were forcibly displaced from Myanmar. Bangladesh has continued to support their basic needs despite significant economic, social and environmental pressures on our country. However, Bangladesh cannot shoulder this responsibility indefinitely. The Rohingya crisis is fundamentally a political and human-rights crisis originating in Myanmar. Therefore, Bangladesh calls upon the international community to take stronger and coordinated action. First, we need sustained diplomatic pressure on Myanmar to create conditions for safe, voluntary, dignified and sustainable repatriation. Second, the international community must ensure greater burdensharing by providing adequate humanitarian assistance to both the Rohingya refugees and the host communities in Bangladesh. Third, the root causes of the crisis and human-rights violations must be addressed, with appropriate accountability mechanisms. Finally, the United Nations should play a stronger role in monitoring the situation in Rakhine State and ensuring that any repatriation process is safe and sustainable. Bangladesh has provided refuge; now the international community must help create a durable solution. The Rohingyas deserve not only a place of refuge, but the right to return home safely, voluntarily and with dignity. Thank you.
Q5. What is the full form of BRICS?
Answer: Sir, BRICS originally stood for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
